Though he often claims that he hates the two, he has feelings for them deep, deep down. After Billy and Mandy have wed, Mandy will tell Grim that he is free to go. Confused at first, Grim will leave for the Underworld in hopes of maintaining his regular life. While at home, Billy and Mandy will call Grim back up to Endsville in order to do simple tasks for them, such mowing the lawn, washing the dishes, etc.
After their child is born, Billy and Mandy will teach the child many things, including how to order Grim around. Irwin is a reoccurring protagonist in the show. He is an oversized nerdy boy who loves doing math, playing card games, and uses slang to seem cool. He is best friends with Billy and can be often seen playing card games and video games with him.
Along with that, he harbors immense romantic feelings for Mandy, having an entire wall dedicated to photos of her. At the end of the series he teams up with other side characters in a Crime Fighting group called UnderFist. After the events of UnderFist, Irwin leaves Endsville to fight against evil. During this time, Billy and Mandy wed, though Billy forgets to call him to the wedding due to his stupidity.
On Irwin's side, he has lost weight and trains after every battle to improve himself for Mandy. After UnderFist has declared that there is no more crime in Endsville, the group give Irwin a pep talk and encourage him to propose to Mandy Jeff keeping the fact that she has already wedded Billy secret since he knows it will upset him.
Irwin will call Billy in hopes of asking if he knew where Mandy was or not. They talk while Mandy can be heard in the background talking to Billy, leading Irwin to discover that his best friend has married his love interest. This will cause Irwin to be enraged and go on a destructive tangent, tearing up Endsville.
After noticing the ruckus, Mandy steps outside and confronts Irwin, putting him down in every sentence. The confrontation leaves Irwin so upset that he goes into hiding on the outskirts of Endsville.
Can't you see you're just like peas and mashed potatoes? Some people don't like them to touch each other if they're on the same plate! But it's okay. It's okay if they touch! Because they both get chewed up by the mouth, and sent down the esophagus and dissolved into the stomach and absorbed into the intestines and into the I won't go any further than that. But the point is, we're all just nutrients in the great big digestive system called LIFE!
Billy and Mandy was one of the few Cartoon Network shows that could get away with a darker plot. When Billy and Mandy was finished and the spin off series UnderFist was canceled, fans were distraught and wanted a solid conclusion, to no avail. What you just finished reading were my thoughts on what would happen if the series did continue, or as the challenge states, their "After Ever After".
Although Mandy rarely smiles, she is shown to smirk in times when she wins or if she is concocting a very sinister plan. When she did try to force a real smile in a beauty pageant, it caused a rip in the dimension that forced her, Grim, Billy and Irwin to transition into the Powerpuff Girls world, due to the sheer awe of it being extraordinary.
Even though Mandy is controlling, manipulative, wrathful, even devilish at times, she seems like your average little girl wearing a pink dress with a yellow flower in the center, black Mary Jane shoes, white socks, and blonde hair accessorized with a black headband. Although she has black eyebrows that are thick and they are almost always furrowed and a frown to match which gives her a scowling expression most of the time, and her hair is curved into a style resembling devil horns.
In the show's regular art style, she has no visible nose, but small nostrils. She has black pupils, but on some occasions, she is shown to have blue eyes, suggesting that her eye color is blue. Such as in My Peeps , after zapping Billy with his scythe, she and Grim are both seen in anime form revealing Mandy to have blue eyes and a small angular nose. In Underfist , Mandy's eyebrows are thinner, her eyes are bigger and her head is wider. Mandy's intimidating demeanor combined with her wits allow her to manipulate or intimidate those of weaker resolve.
Mandy using her martial arts skills and above average strength on a hoard of spiders. Billy has been Mandy's best friend since they were infants. Sadly, she considers Billy her idiotic henchman to do her every bidding as she never misses the chance to benefit from his astonishingly low IQ of He usually complies and does everything she demands of him, seeming to either not mind and at times possibly even enjoy it.
He rarely ever snaps at her for this, once, however, he did shout at her as a result of her treatment of him was when she had told him "Thank you". The other time was when he grew tired of her controlling behavior when she and her parents are forced to stay at Billy's house while their own home is being fumigated. Mandy tends to be that of a tsundere towards Billy. Despite her negative, cruel behavior towards him, Mandy has been shown to care for Billy, and the feeling is mutual.
Her feelings could be completely platonic since she mostly treats him nothing more than a servant. But Billy is the only person who Mandy allows to have physical contact with her, embracing her on numerous occasions, even kissing her on the lips a few times. Mandy has also been known to read Billy bedtime stories in the middle of the night when he couldn't sleep whether it be from eating nineteen boxes of cupcakes or other reasons.
He has also suggested wanting to marry her at least three times. She also always helps Billy when he gets into trouble, that is until she becomes too bothered to continue and just stops or leaves the scene. Moments later, Billy appears out of the water riding the Kraken, laughing and screaming "I'm fine!
Near the end the main characters must face and conquer their worst fears. Mandy's worst fears are revealed to be her becoming fat, unattractive, jolly, and happily married to Irwin. It was in this movie that she realized that she can love another person besides herself, and it isn't necessarily a bad thing, and she faces her feelings toward either Billy or Irwin.
Grim initially loathed both Billy and Mandy. Mandy does not seem to care about his hatred and simply uses him for her own purposes. Despite this, the two can come to an understanding on certain things, such as exploiting Billy's stupidity.
I've only seen a few episodes, but the cartoonists and voice actors have really made an enjoyable cartoon that mixes the supernatural with goofy comedy. I do have some quibbles with this cartoon, and I'm sure that there are many people who agree with me. The animation style is part of a trend that focuses on deliberate crudity and outrageousness. The characters' personalities are manifest in the way they are drawn, which is surrealistic and crude, with thick lines and sharp edges; cartoonist Christopher Hart calls these types of 'toons "edgy 'toons.
I get the impression that the "Grim and Evil" cartoonists simply don't put in as much effort as their predecessors did in the days of yore. I also don't like that Cartoon Channel is marketing "Grim and Evil" towards young children, when the humoragain, much in the vein of the wild and crazy "edgy 'toons" is gross enough to be considered adult. One episode featured one of the children stating that his mother was undergoing menopause.
I think this is a little too adult for the demographic the Cartoon Channel is looking for. This cartoon is great for teenagers and adults, though; they are also the ones who may actually understand the homages to horror writers or older cartoons that may go over the heads of little kids.
Overall, this is a decent cartoon. Be sure to watch it, but if you're a parent, exercise caution if you have young ones. This is a great show.
Voice acting is great, characters are great, jokes are great, it's great. Unlike other Cartoon Network classics this does have a few flaws. It does have some jokes that do fall flat, there is some annoying moments, and it has very juvenile humor. Despite that it is a very good show. When it comes to weird things happening this is up their with "Courage" in the creativity department. The animation is also very nice. The characters have a few memorable people.
There's Grim the ender of lives stuck being friends with two kids. There's Billy the biggest idiot in the universe. Then there's my favorite Mandy. This is the most evil girl I've ever seen. She beats people up, never smiles unless giving an evil grin, and she bosses around The Grim Reaper like a butler. She is the most most badass chick ever. As for side-characters there isn't much to say unfortunately.
They just aren't very memorable. Especially Jack. So overall Billy and Mandy is a great show in my opinion, but its flaws make it understandable not to like the show. Completely Lame K-Slicer 27 October I watched this show and I can certainly say that this one of the worst Cartoon Cartoons out there. The jokes are above standard but the animation is stupid and the show's premise is just really lame. I don't who voted this the best new Cartoon Cartoon Show but I can barely watch it.
Overall, I give this show a D-. The only redeemable thing out of this show is the character Mandy. She is quite an evil little girl.
Here ends my rant! CmHowell99 23 October Grim is forced to be friends with two children. Grim once acted like himself until something changed him. I think battling bad guys is what he does best. It's so ridiculously awesome the whole series is hilarious and one of the best kinds of weird check it out.
This has got to be the best cartoon network show of all time. The show originally started as a show called grim and evil. But the evil part was soon dropped and became one show following Grim, Bill and Mandy. The show uses gross out humour which is probably the only show of it's kind now next to ren and stimpy. The thing about this show is that it's too dark to be a kids show it literally gets away with murder with it's humour and story lines and just it's plain weirdness like when billy starts to work with cthulu.
The show will not be stopped and should hopefully continue for a long time unless they show something really offensive or not suitable for kids TV which i think will be very soon. All in all this show is amazing funny and witty and fast on it's feet and well worth a watch unless you censor your kids from it. Darkly amusing Baroque 11 September This deserves to be on its own. The premise is unusual. Billy an idiotic little boy and Mandy a dark, sarcastic girl trick Grim aka Death , who has come for their gerbil, into being their "best friend forever".
The show is a series of adventures of the two with their tall, dark and boney "friend". This is apparently not everyone's cup of tea. The reaction to this show is very strong.
Some hate it, some like me love it, especially with the rather morbid sense of humor that Mandy has. At the start of every show, Mandy gives a little comment, often relating to the episodes in the show. My favorite is "Evolution takes no prisoners". I'd like that on a bumper sticker! My only complaint is All in all, if you like "The Addams family", you'll get a kick out of this show.
This television series from Cartoon Network makes complete fun of the undead with use of toilet humor centering around even The Grim Reaper character which I do not understand. How can even a skeleton character flatulate easily? This show is downright genius at some point with parodies of modern pop icons, political figures, and historical events. Not only this small tidbit to keep most entertained but the black comedy is so good that most adults and intelligent kids will get it. For me a person who enjoys heavy metal, gothic subculture, and cynical dark humor this show rang my bell, tickled my fancy, and is the bees knees all in one.
